Last month, CurvX piloted our very first event - Conversations with CurvX: Radiate & Reset. With a focus on journaling, discussion, and presentations about fitness, faith, and full self development, the event was located in Chicago.
CurvX Founder and CEO, Kristen Ross, spoke on the importance of caring for yourself and how this can fuel you to help others. As part of this focus, she touched on how to be your best self by finding your passion.

“Before you flourish, you must fall in love with what you do,” she said.
During her presentation, Ross explained how loving what you do invokes a deep drive to excel.
“Because when you love what you do, excellence becomes effortless,” she explained.
“You stop working for validation and start creating from inspiration.”

Ross also talked about how pouring into yourself personally promotes greater confidence. This essentially allows you to share your God-given talents more fully to help those around you.
“How we care for ourselves — what we put on, in, and around our bodies — determines how sustainably we can lead,” she said.
This, Ross explained, requires courage. And with this courage, one’s radiance shines through.
“It’s the courage to say, ‘I can’t pour from empty anymore — I need to refill with intention,’” she said. “Radiance is not perfection — it’s presence. It’s what happens when your values, vitality, and vision align.”
Resetting requires rethinking and restrategizing.

“Many of us are living that definition right now — rethinking how we lead, how we love, and how we care for ourselves,” Ross said. “This is not a setback; it’s a strategy.”
Ross encouraged the women in attendance to use their gifts for good.
“Every woman here carries a light that’s not for competition, but for contribution,” she said.
Conversations with CurvX: Radiate & Reset also included a presentation from Stephanie Krubsack, entrepreneur, podcaster, and founder of Younger by Nature, on clean beauty. Krubsack brought several clean skincare products to share and teach attendees about.
Podcaster, influencer, and communications leader, Claire Kenney, discussed the importance of integrating faith in day-to-day activities, including fitness. She offered some advice about how to pray through daily activities.
The event ended with a raffle and sharing personal reflections on the evening’s message and more. CurvX plans to host other Conversations with CurvX events. At some point, given our athleisure collection, CurvX also plans to incorporate fitness sessions into our future events.
Stay tuned!
